How to cook Rice

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups water

  1. Bring 2½ cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan set over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, rinse 1 cup rice under cool water.

  2. When the water reaches a boil, add the rice, butter, and salt. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and leave to cook until tender, 20 -30 minutes.

  3. Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork, then cover it again with the lid. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes.

  4. Fluff rice again and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container once cooled.
